“The Art program is phenomenal! I cannot believe how much my son has learned in only a few sessions. I have tried a few other studios in Norfolk and Virginia Beach but they taught mostly arts and crafts. The Tidewater Studios Art School actually teaches an art curriculum. It’s like a college for kids! He has learned about pencil drawing, charcoal, clay, watercolor (just to name a few). The art instructor also took it a step further and covered different techniques for each medium. I was amazed at the work my son could do in only 8 weeks. I highly recommend this Art school. It is fantastic!”

“We are so impressed with the Tidewater Studios Dance Program. For being such a young studio, The Dance School offers so many classes for every student. The best aspect of the TSA Dance School is that it is non-competitive. My daughter joined the Dance School last year and was welcomed with open arms. The instructors, staff, and students made her feel so welcome and comfortable. She has made a lot of friends and has also been invited to be on the Tidewater Elite Dance Company. I could tell that the philosophy and goals for TSA is to teach every student that competition against oneself is more important than peers. They really want to keep a non-competitive atmosphere amongst the students but at the same time strive for excellence in their events, competitions, and other performances. TSA is a great place for all students.”

“There aren’t words that can express how grateful I am to have found such a great Music program for my son. Being a college graduate in Music myself, I was expecting an average music program; i.e.: a music lesson, some theory, and maybe a recital. Not at TSA! When I signed up for music lessons, the instructor took the time to go over the entire music curriculum in our free orientation. I was astounded! It was very impressive at how the instructor incorporated every aspect of music. It reminded me of my college classes! Throughout their curriculum and studies they cover everything from literature to jazz, sight singing to theory, and so much more. They also have 2 to 3 events every month such as competitions, festivals, judging activities, and testing. The studio is also a member of the Tidewater Music Teacher’s forum, the Virginia Music Teachers Association, and the Music Teacher’s National Association. They also have recitals twice a year for friends and families. This is by far the best Music program for piano and voice in Hampton Roads.”

“I love the TSA Adult Fitness Program. The classes are small (4 – 6 students) and you actually get one on one instruction from the teacher. It’s not like big gyms where they have hundreds of people in a class and you can’t even see the instructor. I have taken all the classes at TSA (yoga, pilates, piyo, hip hop, Zumba, Toning) and I love them all. I have lost over 40 pounds over the course of my classes and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you TSA for helping me become healthier, energized, and an overall better me!”

“I really like the dance team at TSA. We get to perform in parades, festivals, and other places. We also get to do fun fundraisers like car washes and bake sales. We have a lot of fun performing at all the different events. It makes me feel special to be in the Tidewater Elite Dance Company.”
