Tidewater Studios for the Arts Inc. prides itself on being the most professional and highly sought Fine and Performing Arts Academy located in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. Over the last 10 years, TSA's founder and artistic director, Jessica Jones-Healey, has created an award winning Fine and Performing Arts Academy that encompasses educational programs in the studies of Music, Dance, Art, and Adult Fitness. It is the mission and vision of TSA that our programs will help students of all ages to become their best by encouraging them to set goals and be disciplined learners through TSA's fine, performing, and visual arts curriculum. Our Academy provides an inspiring, nurturing, and healthy artisitic atmosphere in which students of all ages, young and old can develop a strong understanding and appreciation for Music, Dance, and Visual Arts.
At TSA, it is not only our professional responsibility to give our students a prestigious arts education, but it is our duty as fellow artists, musicians, and dancers to provide an in-depth study and appreciation of the learning benefits associated with the arts. These benefits provide our students with life skills that prepare them for experiences and challanges outside the studio. Our goal is to enhance our student's lives through our programs by providing opportunities for leadership, team-work, and engaging them in the community. Our hope is that Tidewater Studios for the Arts' students will come away from our programs with not only a great understanding for the arts, but with a positive outlook on life and good work-ethic. With participation in our programs, we are certain that our students will have strengthened self-esteem, self-confidence, and the tools they need to continue their success through all aspects of their life.
