Tidewater Studios offers a comprehensive Adult fitness program for students 18 and above. Our program consists of mind/body/spirit classes, cardio, and dance. The Adult Fitness Program takes place in 6 week sessions with a 2 week break in between. You can join the classes at anytime. Each session participants are given a nutrition guide and overview of the goals and expectations of each class. We have had many students join our program and achieve GREAT RESULTS in as little as 2 weeks into a session!
Adult Hip Hop Class Starting July 10 at 6:00pm! 6 week session $46. Come join us! ZUMBA Every Tuesday and Wednesday Mornings! Come join the party! These classes include but are not limited to: Pilates- A method of body conditioning based on gravity and positioning to work and tone the muscles. Pilates workouts focus first on developing strength through the core of the body, the back, abdomen and hips. This provides a foundation to continue working the rest of the body. The concentration is not only on strength but also flexibility and coordination. The goal of Pilates is overall body fitness, elongated supple muscles, and balance between body and mind, with all the parts of a person working as a whole. Pilates gives practitioners improved posture, increased lung capacity, and strong, sculpted muscles. Its emphasis on all around, complete fitness supports a variety of fitness goals, from building strength to increasing flexibility. Yoga- Originated in ancient India, Yoga typically means 'union' between the mind, body and spirit. It involves the practice of physical postures and poses, which is sometimes referred to as 'asana' in Sanskrit. As the name suggests, the ultimate aim of practicing Yoga is to create a balance between the body and the mind and to attain self-enlightenment. In order to accomplish it, Yoga makes use of different movements, breathing exercises, relaxation technique and meditation. Yoga is associated with a healthy and lively lifestyle with a balanced approach to life. - PiYo- Combination of Pilates and Yoga exercises and stretches to build core strength and agility. It is a faster paced class than that of Yoga, but at the same time a milder form of pilates.
- ZUMBA - fusion of Latin and International music - dance themes that create a dynamic, exciting, effective fitness system! The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. Zumba utilizes the principles of fitness interval training and resistance training to maximize caloric output, fat burning and total body toning. It is a mixture of body sculpting movements with easy to follow dance steps.
ZUMBA Fitness: Every Wednesday Morning from 9:15am to 10:15amEvery Tuesday Morning from 10:30am to 11:30amclick here for rates - Body Sculpt -A class specifically designed to tone the entire body. This class focuses on toning of the major muscle groups found in the arms, legs, and core. This class will utilize resistance bands, ball work, stretching, and gravity enduced toning.
- Hip Hop - Hip-hop dance originated in New York among young Hispanic and African-American men during the late 1960s as part of the hip-hop culture of rap, scratch music, and graffiti art. The dance is always changing but essentially embraces the two styles of break dance and body popping.
